Partner With Us: Support Our Delta GEMS

Delta GEMS, a national signature program of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., is a community based program created to inspire young women and help them to actualize their dreams. Delta GEMS provides a positive network for teenage girls ages 14-18 to strengthen and develop their will to achieve. By encouraging a “can do” attitude, Delta GEMS strives to “catch the dreams” of adolescent girls.

The goals for Delta GEMS are: To instill the need to excel academically; To provide tools that enable girls to sharpen and enhance their skills to achieve high levels of academic success; To assist girls in proper goal setting and planning for their futures high school and beyond; and To create compassionate, caring, and community minded young women by actively involving them in service learning and community service opportunities.

The Montclair Alumnae Chapter is excited to continue the Delta GEMS legacy for the 2016 – 2017 school year. We will be serving 20 young ladies from the Essex County community, incorporating scholarship, sisterhood, “show me the money”, service and “Infinity Complete”; the framework for the Delta GEMS program. Our 10-month program, which includes cultural and college tours, service projects, college readiness workshops and more, provides opportunities for self-growth and enables our young leaders to function intellectually, responsibly and socially in today's society.
